If you have been dreaming about getting married in Jamaica, Sandals Resorts has introduced a new promotion that could make your destination wedding significantly more affordable.
Couples who qualify can receive a complimentary Sweetheart Wedding Package for up to 50 guests, along with waived Jamaican marriage licence and administrative fees, at three Sandals resorts in Jamaica.
The offer has a stated retail value of US$1,250 and includes much more than a simple ceremony. From wedding planning and ceremony décor to a private cocktail reception and honeymoon extras, it covers many of the essentials couples would otherwise need to add separately.
Here is what you need to know.
The Free Jamaica Wedding Offer at a Glance
To qualify for the promotion, couples must:
- Book by December 31, 2026
- Travel between January 2 and December 20, 2027
- Stay at least five nights
- Reserve a qualifying Club or Butler room category
- Hold the wedding between Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Plan a new legal wedding rather than a symbolic ceremony or renewal of vows
- Host no more than 50 guests or book no more than 25 rooms

- Sandals Montego Bay
- Sandals Caribbean Cay, formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean
- Sandals South Coast
The complimentary package applies to weddings with between two and 50 guests.
What Is Included in the Complimentary Wedding Package?
Sandals’ Sweetheart Wedding Package includes support before you arrive, assistance throughout your stay, ceremony essentials, a cocktail reception and several honeymoon extras.
Before You Arrive
Couples receive access to a Sandals wedding planning team to help coordinate the details of the celebration.
The package also includes:
- Wedding website and gift registry templates
- Assistance preparing the required marriage licence documents
- Pre-arrival planning support
Planning a legal wedding in another country can feel intimidating, so having a team familiar with Jamaica’s requirements can make the process much easier.
During Your Stay
Once you arrive at the resort, an onsite wedding team will coordinate the event, including setup and breakdown of the included wedding elements.
The bride and groom also each receive 15% off one eligible Red Lane Spa service. Some exclusions and service fees apply, so this benefit should be reviewed carefully before booking treatments.
On Your Wedding Day
The package includes a US$200 credit toward qualifying Epix photography packages and a separate US$200 credit toward select videography packages.
These credits must be applied before travel and before the final payment deadline. Minimum package requirements apply.
Photography and videography packages are not fully included, but the two credits can help reduce the cost if professional coverage is part of your wedding plans.
The Ceremony Inclusions
Couples can choose from one of the resort’s eligible ceremony locations, subject to availability.
The ceremony package includes:
- A picturesque ceremony location
- Prerecorded musical accompaniment
- A five-stem dendrobium orchid bouquet in white or magenta
- A coordinating dendrobium orchid boutonniere
- White cushioned Chiavari chairs for up to 50 people
These inclusions create a polished foundation for the ceremony. Couples who want upgraded flowers, custom décor, live music or a different aesthetic can discuss available enhancements with the Sandals wedding team.
A Private Cocktail Reception for Up to 50 Guests
Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests receive a private one-hour cocktail reception.
The reception includes:
- Chef-inspired hors d’oeuvres
- A sparkling-wine toast
- A signature cocktail
- Non-alcoholic beverages
- Cocktail tables dressed in white linens
- A two-tiered white fondant wedding cake
- A white or magenta dendrobium orchid cake topper
It is important to understand that this is a one-hour cocktail reception, rather than a complete private dinner and evening reception.
Couples hoping to host a longer celebration with a full meal, dancing, entertainment or custom décor will need to explore additional reception options and associated costs. However, for a smaller or more relaxed destination wedding, the included reception may provide everything you need to celebrate after the ceremony.
Honeymoon Extras Are Included Too
Because the wedding takes place at an adults-only, all-inclusive Sandals resort, the honeymoon can begin as soon as the ceremony ends.
The package includes:
- A honeymoon dinner with sparkling wine in one of the resort’s specialty restaurants
- Chilled sparkling wine and a sweet treat
- Breakfast in bed on one morning of your choice
- Romantic turndown service on your wedding night
- A US$100 credit toward one eligible resort experience
The US$100 credit can be applied to a qualifying private candlelight dinner, scuba or snuba experience, or a beach or pool cabana. Availability, medical requirements and other restrictions may apply depending on the activity selected.
Which Sandals Resort Should You Choose?
Each of the three participating resorts offers a different wedding experience.
Sandals Montego Bay
Sandals Montego Bay is a lively, social resort with a long private beach and convenient proximity to the airport.
It may be the best fit for couples who want:

- Easy access to additional amenities at nearby Sandals Royal Caribbean

Formerly known as Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Caribbean Cay blends Jamaican hospitality with private-island romance.

Is the Sandals Free Jamaica Wedding Really Free?
The included Sweetheart Wedding Package and qualifying Jamaican marriage fees are complimentary when all promotional requirements are met.
However, “free wedding” does not necessarily mean that every part of the destination wedding will have no additional cost.
Couples should still budget for items such as:
- Travel and accommodations
- Room costs for the wedding couple and guests

My Take on This Sandals Wedding Offer
This is an excellent promotion for couples considering a smaller destination wedding in Jamaica in 2027.
The strongest value is not simply the complimentary ceremony. The package also includes chairs for up to 50 guests, a private cocktail reception, a wedding cake, planning assistance, photography and videography credits, honeymoon amenities and waived marriage-related fees.
That can eliminate several common wedding expenses before you begin adding personal touches.
The biggest limitation is the ceremony schedule. Weddings must take place Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Couples wanting a Friday or weekend wedding—or a sunset ceremony—will need to consider Sandals’ other wedding options.
Availability for the most desirable travel dates, ceremony locations and qualifying room categories may also become limited as the booking deadline approaches.
