At around 65% occupancy, it still felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The personalized and customized service here was extraordinary. Despite being a boutique property, there was always a sense of space and calm, even at the pool, which never felt crowded.

The resort is known for its two pristine beaches. On the east side, you’ll find a water sports haven, perfect for the adventurous, while the west side offers a tranquil, white-sand beach ideal for relaxing. One of the highlights for me was the plunge pool—heavenly on a hot Caribbean day! If you've ever been to the Caribbean in the warmer months, you know how much the ocean and pools can heat up. But this plunge pool was the perfect oasis to cool off in.

Although Sandals Royal Plantation is an intimate resort with just over 70 rooms, guests have full access to the nearby Sandals Ochi, with 16 different restaurants to choose from. You can also arrange to dine at Sandals Dunn's River, which is a brand-new resort (only 10-minutes away) and absolutely stunning with its modern design and exciting new dining options.

Elegant, All-Butler Suites with Caribbean Charm

The resort's suites have been beautifully refreshed, and are spacious and elegant—without ever feeling stuffy. We loved the walk-in closet, allowing for us to unpack our multiple outfits and shoes, organizing them like we would at home. The bathrooms haven't yet been modernized - but we were ok with that! It's also important to note that some rooms have a juliet balcony while others have full verandahs. Unmatched Personalized Service

The service at this resort was unlike anything I’ve experienced. Every morning, the chef would greet us personally. When we returned from a day trip to Sandals Ochi, the staff would welcome us with a prepared bath, and even coconut shrimp and cocktails in our room (thanks to the amazing Orayne and Safiya—the best butlers ever!). They anticipated our every need, which made this resort one of my all-time favorites.

Best of Both Worlds for Scuba Divers and Golfers

For scuba divers, it doesn’t get any better. At Sandals Royal Plantation, scuba diving is included in your stay. And if you're a golf enthusiast, your green fees are included at the nearby Upton Estate Golf & Country Club, with shuttles provided to make life that much easier. You’ll need to hire a caddy, but it’s a small price to pay for such convenience.
