There’s something special about hosting a smaller, intimate group trip.
This past week in Saint Lucia, I had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful group of clients at Sandals Halcyon Beach — a resort that continues to hold such a special place in my heart. From the moment guests arrived, the week felt relaxed, connected, and incredibly personal — exactly the type of experience I love creating through Pink Palm Travel.

A Warm Saint Lucia Welcome
One of my favourite parts of hosting group travel is creating moments where everyone can connect naturally while still enjoying the freedom to vacation their own way.
We kicked off the week with a private welcome cocktail gathering, giving everyone the opportunity to meet, settle in, and soak up those first Caribbean sunset views together. There’s always a certain excitement on the first evening — frozen cocktails in hand, warm ocean breeze, and the realization that vacation has officially begun.
Because guests arrived over two separate evenings, I arranged dinner reservations for each couple at Kelly’s Dockside upon arrival so they could ease into the resort experience stress-free.
The Soufrière Experience by Speedboat
One of the highlights of the week was our unforgettable full-day Soufrière adventure with JJ’s Speedboat Tours.
Traveling along Saint Lucia’s dramatic coastline by speedboat offers some of the most breathtaking views on the island — especially approaching the iconic Pitons from the sea. It’s one of those experiences that instantly reminds you why Saint Lucia is considered one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful destinations.
The day included:
- A visit to the Sulphur Springs and famous mud baths
- A stop at Toraille Waterfall
- Snorkeling at stunning Anse Chastanet Beach
- Incredible views of the Pitons throughout the journey
- Lunch and a lively pool party at beautiful Marigot Bay
It was the perfect mix of adventure, scenery, relaxation, and fun — and one of the moments where the entire group really bonded together.
Dinner at Buccan at Sandals Regency La Toc
Another standout evening was our group dinner at Buccan at Sandals Regency La Toc.
Buccan brings the fire — literally.
The restaurant focuses on charred meats, flame-kissed vegetables, and island ingredients cooked low and slow over open flames. Inspired by Saint Lucian flavours and designed around a shared dining experience, the atmosphere feels warm, social, and deeply connected to the island itself.
Some of the incredible flavours and seasonings featured throughout the experience included:
- Basil sweet salt
- Creole spice
- Coconut seasoning
- Buccan spice
- Coconut chutney
- Peppa sauce
The entire experience felt elevated while still being authentically Caribbean — the kind of dinner people continue talking about long after the trip ends.
Exploring All Three Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia
One of the biggest advantages of staying at Sandals Halcyon Beach is the ability to experience all three Sandals resorts in Saint Lucia through the complimentary exchange program.
Throughout the week, guests visited Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Regency La Toc to enjoy different restaurants, beaches, activities, and amenities across the island.
Some guests spent time playing pickleball at both La Toc and the Grande, while others enjoyed golfing at Cap Estate — one of Saint Lucia’s most scenic golf experiences.
This exchange program is one of the reasons Saint Lucia is such an incredible Sandals destination. Each resort offers a completely different atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy multiple vacation styles all within one trip.
Spa Days & Relaxation
Of course, no Caribbean group getaway would be complete without time to truly unwind.
Many guests booked treatments at the Red Lane Spa, where the open-air — yet still private — massage cabanas became an instant favourite. Listening to the sounds of the Caribbean breeze during a massage overlooking tropical gardens is the definition of relaxation.
Throughout the week, I also hosted my hospitality desk twice to assist guests with dining reservations, spa bookings, excursion questions, and anything else they needed during their stay. These moments are one of the biggest benefits of hosted group travel — having someone on-site to help coordinate details while guests simply enjoy their vacation.
The Best Moments Are Often the Simplest
Some of my favourite memories from the week weren’t necessarily the planned excursions or dinners.
They were the afternoons spent:
- Laughing together in the pool
- Relaxing along the beach
- Watching sunsets with cocktails in hand
- Running into familiar staff members throughout the resort
- Seeing guests fully relax and enjoy the island
Those are the moments that truly define hosted travel experiences for me.
Why I Love Hosting Group Trips
Hosting this Saint Lucia group reminded me why I love what I do so much.
It’s about more than simply booking a vacation. It’s about creating experiences, connections, and memories that clients will carry with them long after they return home.
Saint Lucia continues to be one of my favourite Caribbean destinations, and Sandals Halcyon Beach once again delivered an incredible experience for both myself and my guests.
And the best part?
This is only the beginning.
After such an amazing week in Saint Lucia, I’m already looking ahead to my next hosted group adventure in Curaçao in Fall 2027.
