One of the biggest misconceptions about Sandals Resorts International is that you always need the most expensive suite to have an incredible experience.
In reality, some of the best value at Sandals comes from room categories that many travelers completely overlook.
As someone who books Sandals resorts every day, these are a few hidden gems I consistently recommend to clients who want luxury, location, and value — without necessarily paying for the highest-tier suite.

Luxury Level: Great Value Without Paying for Extras You May Not Use
Luxury Level rooms are often skipped because travelers assume they’re “basic.” But some of these categories are in incredible locations and make perfect sense for clients who:
- don’t care about room service
- spend most of their time at the beach or pool
- prioritize the resort experience over the room itself
Carisia Luxury Room at Sandals Royal Curaçao
This is one of my favourite under-the-radar room categories in the Sandals portfolio.
The Carisia Luxury rooms are beautifully designed with a modern, upscale feel that fits perfectly with the resort’s aesthetic. You still get access to the stunning pools, restaurants, beach areas, and overall luxury atmosphere of the resort — without jumping to a much higher room category.
For many couples, this room delivers everything they actually need.

Crystal Lagoon Poolside Luxury Room at Sandals Halcyon Beach
This is such a smart choice for travelers who love Saint Lucia but don’t necessarily need Club or Butler service.
The Crystal Lagoon area feels lush, tropical, and relaxed. These rooms place you close to the pool while still maintaining the intimate, garden-style atmosphere that makes Halcyon so special.
For clients prioritizing location and ambiance over room service, this category is often a fantastic fit.

Caribbean Deluxe at Sandals Barbados
This category is frequently overlooked because travelers are drawn toward the newer suites at adjacent Sandals Royal Barbados.
But the Caribbean Deluxe rooms at Sandals Barbados are set within lush tropical gardens and offer a more classic Caribbean feel. They’re ideal for travelers who care more about enjoying the resort experience than spending heavily on a room upgrade.

Club Level: The Sweet Spot for Many Couples
Club Level is often where I see the best balance between luxury and value.
You gain:
- room service
- elevated concierge support
- better locations
- additional amenities
…without the premium price jump of Butler Elite.
Longbeach Beachfront Club Level Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub at Sandals South Coast
This category is one of the best hidden gems at South Coast.
You get:
- beachfront location
- gorgeous sunset views
- a tranquility soaking tub
- elevated service
- access to one of Sandals’ most beautiful stretches of beach
South Coast already has a more relaxed, secluded atmosphere — and this room category complements that perfectly.

Butler Level: The Ultimate Hidden Luxury
Anything at Sandals Royal Plantation
If you know, you know.
Sandals Royal Plantation remains one of the most underrated resorts in the entire brand.
This all-butler boutique property offers:
- exceptional personalized service
- a quieter atmosphere
- classic old-world Caribbean luxury
- incredible repeat guest loyalty
It’s not flashy in the way newer resorts are — and that’s exactly why many luxury travelers fall in love with it.
For clients who truly value service and intimacy over “big resort energy,” Royal Plantation is one of the best Butler experiences Sandals offers.
