Yes, Sandals Royal Curaçao Has a Beautiful Beach

The resort's main beach isn't enormous, but it's incredibly well designed.

You'll find:

• Soft white sand that's comfortable to walk on
• Plenty of loungers, umbrellas, palapas, and cabanas
• Calm, clear turquoise water
• No beach vendors interrupting your day
• A laid-back beach bar and casual restaurant just steps away
• Relaxing music that creates an easygoing atmosphere without feeling loud or crowded

Everything feels thoughtfully planned, making it easy to settle in for an entire day without ever wanting to leave.

The Water Is Surprisingly Deep (In a Good Way)

One thing that surprised me was the water itself.

A protective breakwater keeps the swimming area calm, making it perfect for:

• Swimming
• Kayaking
• Paddleboarding
• Hobie Cat sailing

Unlike some resort beaches where the water stays shallow for a long distance, I found the water here surprisingly deep while still remaining calm and inviting. If you enjoy actually swimming—not just wading—it's fantastic.

Great Snorkeling Right From the Beach

One of the biggest advantages of Sandals Royal Curaçao is that you don't need to book an excursion to enjoy snorkeling.

Simply walk into the water from the beach, grab your snorkel gear, and you'll find plenty of marine life just offshore.

For guests who love spending time in the ocean, it's one of the resort's biggest strengths.

The Views Are Incredible

Even beyond the main swimming beach, the resort stretches along a beautiful section of Curaçao's coastline.

The rocky shoreline, turquoise water, and dramatic coastal scenery create some of the most photogenic views anywhere on the property.

Whether you're relaxing on the beach, walking along the waterfront, or enjoying sunset with a cocktail, the scenery is absolutely stunning.

The Iguanas Steal the Show

One of my favourite unexpected touches?

The iguanas.

You'll often spot them wandering through the resort or relaxing underneath beach cabanas.

They're entertaining to watch, and add to the unique personality of Curaçao. It's definitely not something you'll experience at every Sandals resort.

Beach or Pool?

This is where my opinion might surprise you.

Sandals Royal Curaçao has beautiful pools—including the famous Dos Awa infinity pool—but I kept finding myself heading back to the beach.

It was peaceful, relaxing, never felt overcrowded, and had everything I needed for a perfect Caribbean day.

If I returned tomorrow, I'd happily spend every day on the beach.

My Final Thoughts

If you've read comments suggesting that Sandals Royal Curaçao doesn't have a good beach, I honestly think that's misleading.

Is it a massive, mile-long beach? No.

But it's calm, beautiful, thoughtfully designed, great for swimming, excellent for snorkeling, and incredibly relaxing.

For travellers who appreciate clear water, a peaceful atmosphere, and stunning coastal scenery, I think it's one of the resort's biggest highlights.

As someone who's visited Sandals Royal Curaçao myself, I'd absolutely spend my vacation days stretched out on this beach again.
