What the September 2026 announcement means for Sandals and Beaches guests
Royal Caribbean Group and Sandals Resorts have announced an agreement to form a partnership, with Royal Caribbean Group set to acquire a 50% interest in Sandals and Beaches Resorts.
If you already have a Sandals or Beaches vacation booked, the message from both companies is straightforward: existing reservations, loyalty programs and resort operations will continue as usual. A shared focus on Caribbean vacations
Sandals and Beaches have spent more than four decades creating distinct all-inclusive experiences across the Caribbean. Royal Caribbean Group brings its own experience in travel through Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea.
According to the joint announcement, the partnership is intended to support the growth of Sandals and Beaches Resorts and help more travellers discover the brands. The companies also plan to explore ways to make it easier for guests to find vacation experiences across their portfolios.
Adam Stewart will remain Executive Chairman of Sandals and Beaches Resorts and continue to help guide their long-term growth. He has emphasized the brands’ commitment to their guests, team members, travel advisor partners and Caribbean communities.

For now, you can continue planning your Sandals or Beaches vacation as you normally would. There are no announced changes to existing bookings or the resort experience as a result of this agreement.
