Planning your meals is one of the fun parts of a Beaches Turks & Caicos vacation. But before you start choosing where to eat, there’s one practical question to answer: which restaurants need reservations?
Kimonos and Butch’s Island Chop House currently require dinner reservations. Most other restaurants welcome guests without a reservation, giving you plenty of flexibility throughout your stay.
Which Beaches Turks & Caicos restaurants require reservations?
| Restaurant | Cuisine | Reservation requirement | Dinner dress code |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kimonos | Japanese teppanyaki | Required for dinner | Casual |
| Butch’s Island Chop House | Steakhouse | Required for dinner | Evening attire |
These are the current requirements listed in Beaches’ official restaurant guide.
Kimonos
Kimonos combines Japanese teppanyaki with tableside cooking and entertainment. It’s one of my favourite restaurants at Beaches Turks & Caicos, and a dinner I suggest putting on your list if your family enjoys an interactive meal.
Beaches notes that Kimonos can book quickly, so I recommend checking availability early in your stay. If you have younger children, ask about an earlier sitting that works with their usual dinner time.
Butch’s Island Chop House
Located in Treasure Beach Village, Butch’s Island Chop House brings steakhouse dining to Beaches Turks & Caicos, with a children’s menu as well. Reservations and evening attire are required for dinner only.
If this is a priority for your trip, ask about availability when you arrange Kimonos. For a multigenerational vacation, I suggest choosing a preferred evening together before you arrive so you’re ready to request a table for your whole group.
Can I book restaurant reservations before arriving?
Beaches states that dining reservations can only be made once you arrive at the resort. The Culinary Concierge Desk can help arrange dinner reservations.
My advice is to make this a first-day task. Once you’ve checked in, ask about your preferred restaurants and available times. Have a second choice of evening ready, especially if you’re travelling with several families.
You don’t need a detailed dining itinerary before leaving home. A short list of priorities is enough.
Do Sky and Barefoot by the Sea require reservations?
Sky and Barefoot by the Sea currently do not require reservations. Sky lists a minimum age of 12 and evening attire, while Barefoot by the Sea offers seafood in a casual setting.
Both are among my favourite dining choices at the resort. Keep the age requirement in mind when planning Sky with your family, and confirm the current guidance for your intended meal when you arrive.
Jen’s tip for planning your dinners
I recommend arranging your priority reservations first, then leaving some evenings open. You might want a relaxed dinner after a busy day, or find a restaurant you’d like to visit again.
For multigenerational groups, decide which meals you want to share. Having a couple of planned dinners together gives everyone something to look forward to, while leaving room for grandparents, parents and children to enjoy the vacation at their own pace.
