Beaches Turks and Caicos vs Beaches Negril: Which Is Right for Your Family?

Beaches Resorts now has two family resorts open: Beaches Turks and Caicos and Beaches Negril. Both include Kids Camp, Sesame Street character experiences, a Pirates Island Waterpark and the Beaches all-inclusive approach. But they feel very different once you arrive.

Beaches Turks and Caicos is my top-selling resort, and I book Beaches Negril for families too. Here’s how I help clients decide between them.

The Beach: Grace Bay vs Seven Mile Beach

Both resorts sit on beaches that regularly appear on lists of the Caribbean’s best. Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos is known for its calm, clear turquoise water and soft white sand. It’s a lovely beach for young swimmers and snorkellers.

Beaches Negril is on one of the widest stretches of Negril’s Seven Mile Beach, on Jamaica’s west coast. You get the same soft sand, along with those famous Negril sunsets. You really can’t go wrong with either beach.

Resort Size and Layout

This is the biggest difference between the two. Beaches Turks and Caicos is the largest Beaches resort, spread across six themed villages. That means more restaurants, more pools and more room choice, but also more walking.

Beaches Negril is much smaller and easier to get around. Everything is close together, which parents of toddlers and grandparents often love. You’ll spend less time getting from the room to the pool and more time actually at the pool.

Rooms and Suites

Beaches Turks and Caicos has the widest range of rooms in the Beaches brand. It goes from family suites with a separate kids room to multi-bedroom villas, plus the new all-suite Treasure Beach Village, which opened in May 2026. For large or multigenerational groups, the variety here is hard to beat.

Beaches Negril was refreshed with all-new rooms and suites, including the Firesky Reserve Villas and the Eventide Penthouse Collection. There are fewer categories to choose from, but the rooms feel fresh, and there are still good options for families.

I’ve broken down the room categories in my posts on the best rooms at Beaches Negril for families and the best rooms at Treasure Beach Village.

Kids Camp, Waterparks and Activities

Both resorts include Kids Camp, Sesame Street character experiences, teen programming, water sports and a Pirates Island Waterpark. The core Beaches experience is the same at each.

The difference is scale. Beaches Turks and Caicos has the bigger waterpark, more pools and more places to eat. That makes it a great fit for families with older kids and teens who want lots to do. Beaches Negril keeps everything closer together, which works beautifully for younger children.

Getting There From Canada

Turks and Caicos has a clear advantage on arrival day. Beaches Turks and Caicos is about 15 to 20 minutes by road from Providenciales International Airport (PLS).

For Beaches Negril, you’ll fly into Montego Bay (MBJ) and plan for about 75 to 90 minutes on the road. Round-trip airport transfers are included at both resorts. You can read more in my guide to Beaches Resorts airport transfer times.

Price and Value

Turks and Caicos is one of the more expensive destinations in the Caribbean, and Beaches Turks and Caicos usually costs more than Beaches Negril for the same dates and room level. Negril is often the better value, especially for families watching their budget.

Pricing changes with dates, room category and current promotions, so it’s always worth comparing both. I’m happy to price them side by side for your family.
