1. Caribbean Premium (PR): My pick when you want to keep the room simple
The Caribbean Premium is a ground-floor room with a private patio looking toward the tropical gardens. Sandals places it close to the main pool. If you’ll spend most of the day enjoying the beach, restaurants and pools, this is a room I’d look at before paying for features you may rarely use.
Best for: Couples who want an updated room and would rather put more of their budget toward the trip itself.
Consider another category if: A beachfront view, room service or Club Sandals amenities are central to the holiday. PR is a Sandals Luxury room, not a Club Level room.
2. Sunset Bluff Poolside Club Level Room (HL): My pick for an upper-floor outlook
The Sunset Bluff Poolside Club Level Room is on the second floor, with a private balcony and an outlook that can include the pool, gardens and Dickenson Bay. It adds Club Sandals benefits such as in-room dining and concierge assistance.
Best for: Couples who like an elevated outdoor space and want Club Level service without making beachfront location their top priority.
Consider another category if: You’d rather step directly out onto the resort grounds. The WHL below is the ground-floor alternative.
3. Sunset Bluff Poolside Walkout Club Level Room (WHL): My pick for poolside convenience
The Sunset Bluff Poolside Walkout Club Level Room puts you on the ground floor. Its patio leads out onto the resort grounds, making it easy to come and go when you’re spending the day around the pool. Like the HL, it includes Club Sandals benefits.
Best for: Couples who value easy access more than a higher-floor outlook.
Consider another category if: You’re picturing the beach immediately outside your room. “Poolside walkout” and “beachfront walkout” are two very different locations at this resort.
4. Caribbean Honeymoon Beachfront Grande Luxe Walkout Club Level Room (WGB): My pick for beach lovers
The WGB is on the ground floor of the Frangipani building, just steps from Dickenson Bay. Its private patio gives you a place to sit and take in the beachfront setting. This is the room I’d examine closely for a couple whose ideal day begins and ends by the sea.
Best for: Couples who want beachfront location, ground-floor access and Club Sandals service.
Consider another category if: You prefer the extra separation of an upper floor. “Walkout” describes access from your room; it doesn’t mean a private stretch of beach.
5. Caribbean Honeymoon Beachfront Grande Luxe Club Level Room (GB): My pick for a higher beachfront perspective
The GB is on the second floor of the same Frangipani building, overlooking the northern edge of Dickenson Bay. It has the beachfront setting and Club Sandals benefits of its walkout counterpart, with an upper-floor location instead.
Best for: Couples who want a beachfront outlook but would choose an upper floor over a walkout patio.
Consider another category if: Stepping straight from your patio onto the grounds is a priority. Compare GB and WGB side by side rather than relying on the long room names.
So which one would I book?
If value leads the decision, I’d start with PR. If you want Club Sandals and pool access, I’d compare HL and WHL, then choose between an upper-floor balcony and a ground-floor patio. If you’re going to Antigua specifically for Dickenson Bay, I’d look first at WGB and GB and decide whether walkout access or an upper-floor position matters more.
The room code matters. When I help clients compare availability, I look at the specific category and location, not simply whether a listing says “Club Level” or “beachfront.” Your exact room within a booked category is generally assigned at check-in, so a category’s description is the right starting point—not a promise of one particular room number or identical view from every room.
